Hi,
We have been evaluating the touchscreen toolkit and are curious about licensing options. What do we need to purchase in order to use this on a development machine and deploy it to a run-time executable to be used on various tablets for a production test fixture?
Also, will the toolkit only work with Windows 8 or also with Windows 7 and an external touchscreen monitor. We are not sure yet what OS we will use for the end system.
Thanks.

Hi there.
Please refer to the product page on ni.com here. Basically, you would purchase a development license for use on the development machine. This is a named user license similar to LabVIEW meaning that you would purchase 1 seat for each developer. But each developer is entitled to install it on up to 3 machines but they cannot be used concurrently.
For the run-time systems, you would need to purchase 1 Deployment Seat per system. If you require a large quantity of deployment seats please contact us directly at sales@aledyne.com to discuss bulk licensing discounts.
Yes, the Touchscreen Toolkit will work with Windows 7 using an external touchscreen monitor as long as the monitor is plug and play with the Windows Touch driver. If you plug it in and the touchscreen works with the OS, then the Touchscreen Toolkit will be able to capture data from it.
Hope that answers your questions.
